CAIRO / Alexandria tour
Day 1:
On arrival our representative will help with Immigration and Custom formalities, then we will transfer to your selected hotel at Cairo Hotel for a traditional Egyptian Welcome and check in. Cairo Hotel
Day 2:
After breakfast, our bus will take you to the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, which includes entrance to the King’s burial chamber in the Great Pyramid. Standing at the base of the Great Pyramid, it is hard to imagine that they were constructed in the fourth dynasty of Egypt’s old kingdom, arguably the first great civilization on earth. Continuing on our excursion, we visit a Papyrus Institute, where you will discover the old secrets of Papyrus manufacturing. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, we will return to the hotel. In the afternoon, we will attend a Healing session at Essence Palace with professional healers and practitioners, followed by a camel ride with a spectacular view of the illuminated pyramids. On this occasion, dinner will be held at restaurant located beside the pyramids, where we can sample the local cuisine. We will return to the hotel and overnight. (B)
Day 3:
After breakfast, we will drive you directly to Alexandria. This is a magnificent city on the Mediterranean coast – you will love the feel of the sea breeze. We will visit the Greco Roman Museum, which contains relics that date to the 3rd century B.C, the Roman Theatre and Pompei’s Pillar – a massive 25m pink granite pillar that Christian Crusaders believed to have been from Pompei. We will check in at the Montazah Sheraton Hotel, which overlooks the Mediterranean shoreline and the Montazah Gardens, the home of the late King Farouk. For dinner tonight we will sample the local cuisine at a seafood restaurant. Before retiring for the night, we will take a refreshing stroll along the boardwalk, which is a lovely way to end the day. Day 4:
We will check out of the hotel after breakfast and visit the Montazah Gardens and King Farouk’s Palace, and then it is onto the Alexandrian Library, which is a perfect model of a universal library before we transfer back to Cairo. Upon arrival back in Cairo we will check in at Cairo Hotel. We will have dinner at the hotel tonight. (B)
DAY 5:
After breakfast, we will visit the Coptic area and the Al-Rifa’i mosque where the Iranian Shah Reda Bahlawi and the kings of Egypt Hussein Kamel, Ismail, Foad and Farouk are buried. This will be followed by an extensive tour of the Egyptian Museum, which has the greatest collection of Egyptian antiquities, including the treasures from Tutankhamun’s tomb. For our final dinner in Egypt, we have arranged a dinner cruise on board the Nile Pharoah, cruising the Nile for 2 hours. Part of the dinner cruise will include a belly dancer show and dervish show. DAY 6:
After breakfast, we will visit Cairo’s renowned Khan El Khallili Bazaar. This is a must for all visitors to Egypt. When we have finished our tour and shopping, we will return to the hotel and check out, then transfer to the airport for final departure back home (B)
