DAY 1 - DEPART U.S.A.

A convenient evening flight takes you to Egypt.

DAY 2 -  ARRIVE CAIRO

Afternoon arrival in Cairo where our host will meet, assist and transfer you to your hotel. (D)

DAY 3 - GIZA/MEMPHIS AND SAKKARA

After breakfast visit the Pyramids & Sphinx of Giza which have stood for the last 5000 years. Complete your visit at Giza with a tour of the Solar Boat Museum. After lunch continue to ancient Memphis, the first capital of united Upper and Lower Egypt and Sakkara site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. (B,L)

DAY 4 -  CAIRO CITY TOUR

This morning your guide introduces you to the masterpieces of ancient art in the Egyptian Museum including the Treasures of Tutankhamun. After lunch drive to the Islamic quarter to stroll the Great Citadel begun by Saladi and visit the Mohammed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. The day ends with a walking tour of the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. (B,L)

DAY 5 -CAIRO/ALEXANDRIA/CAIRO

After breakfast depart Cairo for Alexandria to visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shukafa, Qait Bay, Pompey's Pillar, the Roman Amphitheater and the Montaza Palace. Lunch at a seafood restaurant. Return to Cairo for overnight. (B,L)

DAY 6 - CAIRO/ABU SIMBEL/ASWAN (OPTIONAL)

This morning you have an opportunity to take the optional tour to Abu Simbel Temples visiting the Great Temple of Ramses II, stand before four colossal statues of the Pharaoh with smaller statues at his feet of his wife Nefertari and their daughters. Embark cruise before lunch. This afternoon board a felucca to view the Elephantine Island, Botanical Gardens and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. (B,L,D)

DAY 7 - ASWAN/KOM OMBO/EDFU

In the morning tour historic Aswan including the Aswan High Dam and the Temple of Philae that was rescued from the rising waters of Lake Nasser after the construction of the High Dam and moved piece by piece to the site on Agilika Island. Return to the ship for lunch and cruise to Kom Ombo. At Kom Ombo marvel at the Twin Temple of the Crocodile Headed God Sobek and the Falcon Headed God Heroaris. Sail to Edfu for overnight. (B,L,D)

DAY 8 -  EDFU/ESNA/LUXOR

Visit the Temple of the Falcon Headed God Horus. Relax on board ship as you sail to Esna pass the lock and arrive in Luxor. Enjoy some time at your leisure. (B,L,D)

DAY 9 -  LUXOR

This morning cross to the West Bank of Luxor where you will explore the painted tombs and mortuary temples created during the New Kingdom for the everlasting worship of the God Pharoahs and their children. Drive into the mountain Valley of the Kings, and those of several other monarchs. Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the woman who became a King and a God. View the Colossi of Memnon facing the Nile. The afternoon is devoted to visiting the Karnak and Luxor Temples. This evening attend the Sound & Light Show presentation at the Karnak Temple. (B,L,D)

DAY 10 - LUXOR/QUENA

Sail to Quena. Enjoy time at your Leisure. (B,L,D)

DAY 11 - QUENA/DENDERAH/LUXOR

After breakfast visit the Temple of Denderah by bus from Quena. Return to the ship where you will have lunch and sail to Luxor. (B,L,D)

DAY 12 -  - LUXOR

After breakfast disembark cruise and visit the Luxor Museum. Transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day at your leisure. (B,D)

DAY 13 -  LUXOR/CAIRO

Some time at leisure before a transfer to the airport for a return flight to Cairo. Afternoon drive to Old Cairo where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, St. Sergis Church and the Coptic Museum. (B,D)

DAY 14 - CAIRO/PRIVATE CAR

Your final day in Egypt is at your leisure with a private car and knowledgeable English speaking driver at your disposal. You may enjoy re-visiting the Egyptian Museum, Pyramids or shopping at the Bazaar. You pay any admission charges involved. Tonight you will be our guest for a special farewell dinner and colorful show. (B,D)

DAY 15 - FAREWELL TO EGYPT!

This morning our host transfers you to the airport and checks you in for your homebound flight. (B)
