JERUSALEM EXTENSION

 Day 1 - Tel Aviv / Jerusalem

Arrive in Tel Aviv where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 2 - Old City of Jerusalem

Walk the renovated Jewish Quarter, visit the Western Wall. Proceed to Via Dolorosa and walk on the way of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Last visit today is to Bethlehem, stopping at Rachel’s Tomb and the Church of the Nativity. (B)

Day 3 - Massada/Dead Sea

Drive via the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea. At Massada, ascend and descend by cable car, view the excavations. Stop at the Ein Gedi Spa for a swim in the Dead Sea. (B)

Day 4 - Nazareth-Capernaum/Tiberias

Visit Capernaum, situated on the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Tiberias to visit Yardenit on the Jordan River. Continue on to Nazareth, visiting the Church of Annunciation, continue to Beit Shean to explore the ancient ruins. (B)

Day 5 - Jerusalem

Continue on your Holyland Journey to Jordan or transfer to the airport for your flight home. (B)

EXPLORATION OF SYRIA

Day 1 - Damascus, Syria

Arrive in Damascus. Day at leisure. (D)

Day 2 - Damascus/Aleppo

City tour of Damascus. Continue to Aleppo visiting en-route: Sidi Khalid Mosque, the site of the tomb of Khalid Ibn-Walid; Krak De Chevaliers, the best preserved Crusader’s Castle in the world; Hama, home of the famous water wheels; Apamea, with the largest known Theater. Overnight in Aleppo. (B,D)

Day 3 - Aleppo/Palmyra

Orientation tour of the city including the Citadel, Saint Simeon the Styleties. Continue to Palmyra, the desert capital of Queen Zenobia. Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Day 4 - Palmyra/Damascus

City tour including the triumphal arches and colonnades, the Temple of Bel and Boal Shamim which date back to the second century. Continue to Maaloula, a Christian village where the Aramatic language is still spoken. Arrive in Damascus in time for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Day 5 -Damascus

Transfer to the airport for your departing flight.

Day 1 - Amman

Arive in Amman, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 - Amman/Petra

Visit Petra, the “Rose Red City” half as old as time. Carved from living rock over 2,000 years ago it can only be reached on horseback through narrow towering cliffs. Carved into the colored mountains are the High Palace, the monastery and the Roman styled Palace Tomb. Return to Amman for overnight (B)

Day 3 - Amman/ Jerash

Drive to Jerash, the “Pompei” of the Middle East. Visit the Temple of Zeus, Hadrians Triumhal Arch, The Hippo-drome and a mile long street of Columns. (B)

Day 4 - Amman/Departure

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
